As soon as I saw the hourglass, I knew I had a poem that would fit it well. Busy cooking and getting ready for the holiday, so cheating a bit and sharing a poem--a villanelle actually--written a little earlier this year about time being the "devourer of all things."
Wishing a very happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate!
Wonderful prompt... it lends itself to a variety of interpretations! Can't wait to read some of the entries! Happy reading & writing to all participants! http://writer-in-transit.co.za/right-on-cue/
Thanks for the wonderful prompt! The first thing I thought about was timing, right place right time, or more fun, wrong place, wrong time. :-) I hope you enjoy.
Never realized before there were so many good poems and short stories to read on the web. My brother suggested I check this site out and I have to say, I have not been disappointed. The only problem is that there is so much to read and so little time. Love it!!
Happy Writing,
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving!
And same to you all! Be safe. Blessings, Terri
