Meet Our Writers Week 10-on Chimnese

 Tell us about yourself

I'm an accounts clerk for a property company in Cape Town, South Africa that's where I'm from.
I've been writing since I was very young. I'm the only child to a single mother. I'm just your typical young lady trying to pave away for herself in my career as accountant and as a writer, more so a writer.

Tell me about your blog(s), name(s), what does it mean to you?

I write under the name Chim’s World of Literature,

reason being its because this is my world where I can express myself however I can. The blog is part of my real name, which is Chimnese; the meaning surround the name is origin from a dragon by the name of Qilin a Chinese mythical figure that comes in pair.

My blog has different genres as you have noted if you’ve browsed through my work that I have from book reviews music lyrics, movie reviews, short stories you name it. It’s my little library online. I always was looking for a place to bring all the different worlds together. I have so many other sites, where I did my fictional writing & my poetry on another. On my blog I have brought it all together as one.

When have you started blogging?

My current blog I started it in October 2010, but prior to that I had another blog but deleted that one.

What's the theme(s) of your blog(s)? What do you write most? poetry, fiction or novel, or short stories?

I first started out as a fanfiction writer on the Spashley relationship on Fanfiction.net. A year after that I moved to poetry when I came across the website Allpoetry. I post most of my poetry that's currently on my author blog at Allpoetry.com.
The theme for my blog is basically my little haven where I can express my inner most feelings and expressions.

What are the inspirations of your writing?

What inspires me: Just different things, music, words, people and nature. Feelings moves me, emotions creates my creativity into reality. Basically most things I see and experience in life and the world around me.

Does music impact your writing?

Music is a huge part of my inspiration,
All of my fanfics started out with music. They inspire me to duck deep within my soul. Depending on the genres as if I am writing a happy story or a sad emotionally tarnished one. But as most of my readers knows. I am one of those dark tortured angst authors. I use my own personal taste into my work. The music is soothing and beautiful, it makes me sway my head left and right slowly repeatedly and somehow, made me write beautifully (When it comes to my stories, I never write like that). It's weird what songs and music can actually do to you but in a positive way!

You are involved with Bluebell Books Short Story Slam writing challenge? How do you feel about it so far? What are the benefits of it?

It gives me a chance to write longer pieces. I'm amaze how the prompts they give can reflect so many emotions within myself and I'm sure many other writers.

Do you have a favorite blogging friend to share? Tell us about his/her blog link and the writing in it!

There are so many, I've come across. Since I've been doing Friday Poetry Blog Review for Jingle Poetry Community,  I get to meet amazing poets and there work.
Some of my favorites would be

Untitled Moments, http://untitledmoments.com/

there can never be just one blog its many of poets that really reached deep within me.

Do you have a favorite book or author?

Currently I'm only reading Female/Lesbian fiction such as Radclyffe, Lynn Gali, Julie Anne Peters and so much more. Then my teen years favorite author would be Sandra Brown and Riley In The Morning.

Do you have a favorite quote?

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
— Marianne Williamson

Any tips for those who started blogging and wish to become successful in it.

Don’t be frightened to do what you enjoy most. Take that chance you might never know how much it would help you in the future if you want to become a published poet/author

What's your writing plans in the near future?

A year ago I've finished my first novel, I'm still waiting on publishers for feedback, no matter what I'm not gonna give up on my dream of being published.
I'm also working on my first chapbook of spiritual poetry.
Like they say the goals are endless, but growing and as an individual and as a writer that's part of my future.
