Hi, I was wondering why did I suddenly get a high amount of traffic to this old posting of mine (well, not quite that old)...hahaha... Thank you for linking it back to me. I'm honored and humbled for this. I remembered when I first saw the image, I thought it was a powerful image and invoked such an emotion in me. So, I'm happy that others can write something based on the image too. Looking forward to read these wonderful entries here. Thank you again, Bluebell Books. :)

I took off in a completely different direction for my short story. I hope you approve! Observation - there seem to be lots of poems and very few short stories at Short Story Slam!

I started writing a story and it took off without me and went into really touchy area. I wasn't sure whether to post it or not, but I'm going to be brave and do it anyway. This site has been cathartic. It's provided me with an outlet for emotions I've never been able to share with anyone else. Thank you!
